Global Voice success at St Edmund's School Theatre

Global Voice C

Our annual Music, Dance and Singing performance filled St Edmund's Theatre earlier this week and showcased the talents of 160 children.

Pupils from St. Stephen's Infant and Junior School, previous pupils and our visiting Partner school from Madrid collaborated to perform a medley of music, dance and song from around the globe. The show was a sell-out and a number of dignitaries attended.

Pictured in the photo to the right are; Mr Stuart Pywell (Headteacher), Sheriff, Cllr Jeanette Stockley, and her escort Cllr Ian Stockley, Virginia Villar (English Teacher) and Maria Jesus (Headteacher of CEIPSO Principe Don Felipe of Madrid) who can be seen preparing to enjoy the show.

We also wish to thank St Edmund's School and staff for the use of their Theatre and Recital hall for the show this year.

"Throughout the Galaxy! In the Star Trek movies Starfleet trainees face the almost impossible Kobayashi Maru test. This is a test of leadership under pressure against impossible odds with a no-win scenario always present.

Mrs Shelley Andrews, Mrs Sarah Harmer and Miss Jo Harrison faced this test with over 150 children from our school, the Infant school and our Madrid school, PrincipeDon Felipe Boadilla Del Monte. Our teaching and young stars; encouraged, joked, demonstrated, leapt around, giving Musical direction and dancing steps enthusing our children with a love for performing. It was a real masterclass both from our teachers and from our children. A wonderful evening’s performance of Global Voice. Congratulations". Mr Stuart Pywell, Headteacher
