South East England Ski Championships

ski May2019

Six children from St. Stephen's Junior competed in the South East England Ski Championships on the 12th May 2019. The children showed determination and resilience as well as sporting competitive behaviour. Lara Pywell was placed 6th overall with a time of 22.03 secs.

This is a very high-level competition with many of the winners competing in National Championships. A special congratulations to Alice, Freddie, Oscar, Stanley and Sam for being such excellent representatives from our school.

Year 3's learn about farming and healthy eating

Our year 3's visited the Living Land this first week of May, a 'one day event offered to Kent school children in years 3 and 4 aimed at educating young children in the areas of farming, agriculture, countryside and healthy eating'. Set within the beautiful landscape of the Kent Showground, the children took advantage of this wonderful opportunity and learned a great deal about various animals and farming and even tasted some delicious food on offer from Kent's distinguished agricultural community.

Year 5's learn about living things and life cycles

Year 5 have had a very exciting week exploring Wildwood Discovery Park as part of their topic on living things and life cycles this term. They saw all sorts of animals; from bison through to bears and even conquered a public bus!’’. At Wildwood "you can come nose-to-nose with British Wildlife past and present. They have over 200 native animals set in 40 acres of beautiful ancient woodland. See Bears, Wolves, Arctic Foxes, Bison, Deer, Owls, Foxes, Red Squirrels, Wild Boar, Lynx, Wild Horses, Badgers, Beavers and much more as you make your way around the park".
